It is important to know your customers, knowing who your target market is, is crucial to you being able to identify what their needs and wants may be. Discover all the information, regarding what your customers demographics are, to enable you to make key business decisions and create your marketing plan. Demographics are things like age, social class, and gender knowing these things will allow you to make decisions such as what type of marketing outlets you should be focusing on. You need to establish why a customer would buy from you and not your competitor and use that reason as your usp, what separates you from the pack. It is important to understand when where and why your customers would want your product/service and how much they are willing to spend. You can gather all of this information by completing market research.
